The New Gizmondo 2.0 will be more then just a gaming platform and it's not made to go toe to toe with the DS or PSP , it's going to more multifunction then before , with an improved GPS , Graphics Chip and a nice OS it will make it all run smoother then ever , I also hear that it will have a better camera to meet the high need for all the Virtual stuff it will be able to do .
Another rumor I hear is there may be some third party devlopement , I will keep you updated .
Ok this may or may not be true ,but I got word that the Original Gizmondo was set-up for Touch Screen , that's right touch screen and what I hear is all they have to do is tweak a few things and you now have a full touch screen Gizmondo, so maybe the new Gizmondo will have a touch screen , now that would be way cool .

Rich Jenkins opens a child’s picture book and aims a camera phone at a page depicting a cartoon panda bear that is gesturing toward a set of Chinese characters. As Jenkins and I view the page through the cell phone screen, the printed panda suddenly erupts into a 3-D video version that points at the first symbol, pronounces it in Mandarin and then defines it in English.

As you may have suspected by now, there will be no launch of the new Gizmondo in December, but it's not because of any evil shenanigans on Carl Freer's part. It was the financial crisis that killed his ambition to bring out the revived Gizmondo in time for Christmas.

GetFugu – Carl Freer’s latest venture – will launch augmented-reality (AR) applications for powerful mobile phones, including Apples iPhone on 09/09/09 (September 9, 2009). Such AR-applications can be used as a mobile search tool, and allow users to connect to websites just by pointing their camera phones at a corporate logo on a product, poster or TV-screen. They may even allow users to access soap opera episodes, so called “mobisodes”.

This is just a quick update ,very brief .
I know it's been a long time coming and my source tells me the following .
A new Giz in now in the works , sorry I don't have details yet , but I will let you guys know soon .
I guess some of the AR games seems to be done and are looking good(more on this later I will also try and get pics for you) , I wrote a few people on when they will be done , also sent word out about a new Giz as well . I will give full details later, maybe in the next day or two?
Sorry so much is up in the Air ,but I just have a lot going on .

I found out that for future AR games like the one on my Home Page to run really well you need something better then the First Generation Gizmondo , it could run it ,but not as well as a Giz with a TI chip in it , word on the street is that some new Handhelds will be coming out later this year with the new TI chipset and the Tegra in them . Hope one is a Giz 2.0 . On the Georiga Tech website where the Giz is still being used for AR research you will also find some new classes coming like this one Design Game Consoles

Makes you wonder how much of this will be for the new Giz ??
I can tell you that I have talked to a lot of people about the Gizmondo and it's future , some people either don't email me back , some forward my email to someone else then to someone else ....lol , some email's do get back to me and from what I get from all those email's is that a new Gizmondo is in the works and there have been many companies wanting a new Giz to come out . There is one company that even ask me if the Gizmondo was up for sale ?? So what will the furure hold and how long will Fans stick around??

I had forgot someone I taked to about a year ago about the Gizmondo , I was asking him then about the full size Gizmondo and about a new Giz . At the time he had little for me ,but that was then. I remembered him and Yes he was still on my Yahoo contact list so I wrote him again about a new Giz and like I said on my home page awhile back he himself had talked to Carl about a new gizmondo and that it was still a go it's just taking longer then he wanted it to .
